May 23rd
Wednesday May 23rd would have been Nick's 32nd Birthday. We felt in our hearts we should do something to honor him because he is so missed dearly. That morning I got a beautiful text message from Teren saying she was thinking about us and how much Nick is missed. Thank you T for the support- I hope you know how much it has always meant to me!
I don't know if you knew but Nick was a die-hard Kings fan. So much that his jersey and hat were cremated with him. Oh how he would LOVE to see this Hockey season. Although, we truly believe Nick has the best seats of all. When we made our trip to Las Vegas in December of last year, Chris was so close to putting all his winnings on the Kings. He said Nick was telling him to do it and he sat there for a good half and hour debating it, but he didn't listen. If the Kings win the Stanley Cup, we would have be 30k richer. Darn it....You ALWAYS listen to your Brother, Chris!

Wednesday night was also Isabella's Open House. So our parents came over before hand. We went to pizza, Nick's favorite, made our way to Open House and then back home for Apple Pie (another favorite). We have all been trying to do really well dieting, but it was a good reason to blow it.
Disneyland Fun!

Wickman Rocks!
This morning, Wickman held a Parent Appreciation breakfast. It was absolutely adorable. They went all out with tablecloths, centerpieces, a huge continental breakfast spread and little Snickers treat as we walked in given by the teachers. It was awesome! There were so many parents/ladies there. They gave out awards to the Super-Fab volunteers. It made my morning!!
Passaportos
**I typed this whole story out and Blogger/Picasa decided to loose it all - you will laugh once you read below, because I do believe our whole passport experience was jinxed!**
So a few weekends back we had a total run around trying to get our passport paperwork filed. I took Bella and we got our pictures taken at Rite Aid before we had to head to Girl Scouts. Chris took Vincent and they got haircuts and then went to get their pictures taken. They first broke the camera at CVS before they headed to Costco to get them taken. We then all met up at our Chino Hills post office. They told us they could not help us because we didn't have an appointment. Mind you there was no line and we are just a nice little family of 4 - I had all the paperwork organized and everything! The lady said we could go to Pomona post office and they take walk-ins, however they closed at 12:30 and it was 12, so we certainly wouldn't make it. Lady, you don't tell the Calagnas' they can't do something! So we hauled our booties to the Pomona post office and got there at 12:15 just to see a sign on the door that said the passport office closed at 11am that day. Come on! The man told us we could go to the Pomona Library and they would help us. We headed over there and proceeded to wait for a good 3 hours. Chris had to head home because they only took check - of course he couldn't find his check book, so he grabbed mine. I told him I better get reimbursed - Ha Ha! Besides a few other random things that happend during our wait at the library, all in all, the kids were well behaved and guess what...it is DONE!
We get to go to THE BAHAMAS!!! I think all that running around will be worth it in the end!

Super Fab Day!
I had a WONDERFUL birthday full of special treats! I woke up to my 3 favorite people singing me Happy Birthday with our traditional "Birthday Toast"! Oops, a votive was all Daddy could fine!
That morning, Vincent took me to get my nails done. A good boy, some coffee and a mani/pedi made a perfect morning. We met Daddy back home and went to lunch before he had to do some more work. When I picked up Isabella, she took me to Cold Stone for a yummy after-school treat!
We met our parents at CHOMP for an awesome dinner! Sushi was just want I requested. I got some wonderful clothes for vacation from my parents and a bread maker from Joe and Alice (which I am so excited about!)

The kids are spending the night on Friday at my Mom and Dads and my Husband is taking me to do something SUPER FUN on Saturday. Pictures soon!
Thank you everyone for your wonderful Birthday messages. They truly made my day and made me feel so special and loved.

Mother's Day 2012
We had a great Mother's Day! Started off the morning with my son bringing me gorgeous flowers while I was in bed, followed by Isabella bringing me a beautiful purse and notepads, all of which she picked out for me to "take to weddings"! She then asked me to stay in bed and brought me a breakfast on a tray of cornflakes with cut up strawberries on top and hot apple cider with a cinnamon stick. I was VERY spoiled.
After a little bought with depression over nothing in my closet fitting me, I wore a smile and we headed to Grammy and Popi's for a Mother's Day feast. My family always brightens the mood. Isabella also gave Grammy Nancy a very special present. The game-ball! The coaches signed it with a beautiful message to Isabella and Isabella signed it for Grammy. Popi said Grammy will put it right next to Uncle David's grand-slam ball.

So it ends...
And so ends the 2012 Softball Season. I must say, I am very sad. I loved watching Isabella grow in her Softball skills this season. She ended the Season with a Home Run, that was hit especially for Grammy Nancy's Birthday! I was very proud of my girl.
After the game, the girls had a treat from the Clubhouse. Somehow we missed out on our turn for snack, so we were in charge of bringing a take home favor for the girls. I found Dippin' Dots nail polish and packed it with some nail goodies. The girls seemed to love them!

After that treat, we went to Mimi's Cafe for Grammy Nancy's birthday. We love celebrating Grammy Nancy... She is the BEST! And we are of course so happy to have Papa Joe and Grammy Alice back from Vacation. Family always equals the best time. No matter what work drama I have been having and how upset/down I have been feeling, what truly matters in my life is my family.
