Knotts

We had an absolutely awesome time with the Girl Scouts at Knotts Berry Farm on Saturday. This was the trip the girls earned by selling cookies. The first thing we went on was the Log Ride. Isabella wasn't TOO sure about it, but Vincent sat right in the front and asked to go again! He is the dare devil out of the two. We then met up with the GS troop for lunch at Lucy's Lunchbox in Camp Snoopy. Followed by more rides with the girls together!

It was a wonderful day of friendship, family and fun!

Proud Parent Moment

We were extremely proud this morning as we watched our sweetheart get awarded Student of the Month for April. As her name was called and she stood up, her friends were giving her high fives. I was smiling ear to ear. Isabella Rose, I want you to know....YOU ROCK!

You will notice, in the picture with Mr. Wilson, Isabella's bows are completely crooked. I laughed when I saw the picture on my camera and pointed it out to my friend Raquel. I said, "That is SO US." She laughed and said, "We try so hard!" Yes we try and nothing ever turns out perfect, but that is so okay!

I must also shout out to Bella's bestie Kendal who also received Student of the Month in her class and her friend and fellow Daisie, Lana who received an award! So awesome!

Hangin' with the Dippin' Dots!

This is a Dippin' Dot kinda few days. Saturday was our regular game. Isabella got two more hits and is really coming into her own with her swing. It is very cool to look at some other girls (on other teams) and realize they have no clue. But my Bella, she puts her weight on her back leg and everything. LOVE IT!


Yesterday was the CSUF softball game. We had a blast (Besides getting burnt) and the Titans won. I am always nostalgic setting foot on that campus and will forever be the Mom that says, "You know, Dad and I met and fell in love here at Cal State Fullerton!"

Tonight we have another softball game - I am looking forward to it!

Lake Tahoe

We spent our Spring Break at Lake Tahoe! This was our 3rd year in a row and we had a blast. I have a ton of pictures to sort through, but this is the front runner for my favorite of the trip...

 

Easter 2012

Easter went by in a flash! I tried to enjoy ever minute of it with my kids and family. Isabella had Good Friday off school, so we had a wonderful park date with our friends and then headed to Popi and Grammys for traditional Friday dinner.

When we got to my Mom and Dad's house that afternoon, there was an AMAZING surprise waiting for me! My new Nikon camera!! I CRIED when I saw it! It didn't take me long to open the box and start taking pictures. I am so happy not to have to use my broken camera with the extra flash - always trying to compensate for the light. And long story short - my zoom lens got broke at one of Isabella's softball games, so now I have a new one to continue to take pictures with. We all know how much I love taking pictures. Thank you DAD and MOM! I love it SO SO much!

After dinner, we colored Easter Eggs. We had a very dramatic situation in which the special yellow egg Isabella was making just for the Easter Bunny dropped on the floor and broke. No, we couldn't just use another egg, that would NOT have been good enough! We actually had to make a new cup of yellow dye (I had already thrown the rest out) and cook another egg. But in the end we were happy and that is all that matters :)

 

Easter morning the kids were so excited for their baskets. They took everything out one at a time and looked over it.

 

We had a wonderful Easter dinner with our family and a blast hunting for eggs! But the most important thing to me is hearing Isabella tell me that we celebrate Easter because that is the day Jesus rose into Heaven. Amen, little girl! 

 

Is Vacation really worth this...

Abso-freakin-lutely! We had a blast! Yes I am trying to get life back together today and it is already after 12, but vacation is definitely worth every load of laundry!

 

Moms Club Easter Party!

It has been quite a while since I attended a Moms Club event - probably since Vincent was a baby. My friend Lamis asked if we could go to the Easter party today after school and we had no reason not to! The kids had a wonderful time playing, crafting, eating and hunting for eggs. A perfect kick off to the Easter weekend and Spring Break!!
