The Circus Is In Town!

We had a very packed, fun weekend. Friday was Daddy's 31st birthday. Isabella and I got him Starbucks and made him "birthday toast". We stopped by Wonderland Bakery and picked up some cookies on the way to Daddy's work to take him to lunch. Bella wanted to bring him balloons, but we couldn't find a place to stop. Good thing because his desk was already decorated! We then had dinner with the family and cake to finish up the night! Saturday we had "Lady" Emma's 1st birthday party in her garden along with Aunt Amy's surprise party at the salon (pictures to come later). And finally we finished up the fun filled weekend with a trip to the Greatest Show On Earth! The Circus! Papa Joe and Grammy Alice bought the tickets for Isabella for her birthday! Papa Guy and Grammy Nancy got to join us as well and we all had a great time! The whole first half Bella asked for the Tigers, but she says her favorite part was the Elephants! THANK YOU so my for the GREAT time!!

Fancy Nancy & Fancy Isabella

Grammy and Papa bought Isabella a huge trunk full of Fancy Nancy items for her Birthday. It couldn't be more perfect. She got the three books, doll, matching dress, crown, hat, purse, Frenchy the dog, earrings and necklaces, shoes, pajamas, tutu and ballerina shoes, and a third matching outfit. Bella is in Heaven! She loves to dress up and dance around. She also has to take Fancy Nancy with us when we go to the store. Below are pictures from after her birthday party and the next morning before we ran errands. It is so much fun for Mommy to have a very Fancy Bella Rose!

Park Party Fun!

Isabella was waiting for this day for WEEKS! A birthday party at the park where all her friends could come and play! We had a BBQ, the kids played at the park, stuffed their own animals, and ate yummy treats and cupcakes! Bella got so many fun presents and she has been playing non-stop. Thank you to everyone for coming and making Isabella have a very special and wonderful day to remember!

Bella's Birthday!

Isabella had a wonderful birthday on Friday! We woke her up singing Happy Birthday with our traditional Birthday Toast. It was early, so she was a sleepy head! After our doctor appointment Grammy and Mommy took her to Chuck E Cheeses. She found out she is big enough to climb on the ceiling tunnels and go down the slide, so she had a great time doing that. She got to pick out her very own birthday cake and then we went back to Grammy's to play until Daddy and Papa got home. Daddy brought her a Slurpee and Papa brought her balloons...such a special girl! Then we met the rest of the Calagnas at BJs for our traditional pizza dinner on her actual birthday (this is because they had a pizza party in the hospital room when I was in labor), except the Birthday Girl was so tired that she slept through dinner! She woke up at home and we had her birthday cake and opened a couple of presents! She had a great day!

Baby Boy Calagna

On Friday, Isabella's 3rd Birthday, we found out she is going to have a baby Brother! It was so exciting to find out with Isabella in the room. Right away we said, "Isabella you were right!! A Brother!" Isabella guessed from the beginning and would tell anyone who asked that she was going to have a Brother. How did she know?! A couple of times during the ultrasound she reached out and held my hand...such a sweetie pie! And then that night she said, "I want to give you and the baby a hug!" and she hugged my belly. Awww! Below are the ultrasound pictures.

He was not shy!

I have played this song by Keith Urban several times, but added it this time because it says,
" I close my eyes and I see you standing right there.
Saying “I do” and they’re throwing rice in our hair.
Then the first one’s born, then a brother comes along and he’s got your smile".

The ultrasound tech said, maybe this one will look like me, since "that one doesn't". Ha/Ha/Ha. So yes, maybe Brother will have my smile! Now the fun of naming, shopping and decorating a new room can begin! Which also means, let the cleaning out of two VERY packed rooms and the building of shelves in the garage (in order to make room for Brother) begin! YEA!!!

Our Sweet Angel Girl!

Three years ago, God gave us a beautiful Angel and we named her Isabella Rose. As we watch her grow into an independent, strong-willed, silly, charismatic and beautiful love bug our hearts burst with pride!"Bella Rose" brings laughter and joy to us and her Grandparents every day!

* I danced with my Dad to "In My Daughter's Eyes" at our wedding. The song has so much meaning and made me cry then, but now that I have my own daughter the meaning has grown! Enjoy listening to it!*

New York, New York!

I can not begin to say what an awesome trip Chris and I had to New York! We had such a wonderful time together exploring a city neither of us had been before! We stayed at a beautiful hotel right on 5th Avenue in Manhattan called The Penninsula. We were able to do everything we set out to do in our 5 days there. On the Sex and the City tour we saw not only lots of locations used in the filming of the TV and movie, but we also got to see much of the city (SoHo, West Village, Meatpacking District, etc). We saw Ground Zero and the World Trade Center Museum, New York Stock Exchange and Wall Street in the Financial District, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, Broadway, Time's Square and St. Patrick's Cathedral. We took a carriage ride through Central Park, ate Hot Dogs and Ice Cream off the street, went shopping in the Garment District, went to a Yankee game in the Bronx, went to a musical on Broadway and rode the Subway many times. We walked so much our legs hurt! It was awesome! We missed our baby, of course, but she had a vacation of her own staying with her Grandparents and doing lots of fun things. She got to go to Pump It Up, swimming a bunch of times, to see Wall-e, and go to the Long Beach Aquarium. She's a lucky one too.

The World of Panties!

Miss Isabella Rose has officially made it to the world of panties and is now a potty trained Big Girl!

Last night she was upstairs playing in her room, while Chris and I were downstairs. I heard her call me, "Mommy, I went Poo-Poo!"....My first thought, "CRAP" (no pun intended)...."Where Bella?"...."In the Potty!" (She answered with her "Duh Mom" attitude). She had taken a stool from her art table and climbed up on the big potty (she usually goes in her little potty downstairs) and went poo-poo. She had already flushed it, but I could tell by the way her panties were pulled up and she didn't wipe fully. Ha/Ha. She was so proud of herself, and I was too so I made a big deal about it! "You are my big girl Isabella!!"..."Yes, I am a Big Girl!".

It's the little things that make us proud! And of course, Mommy will only have one set of diapers to change come December! WoooHooo!
