Busy!

The only way to describe last week is BUSY! Monday is my get my self prepared for the week day. I do laundry, dishes, grocery shop and so forth. This week on Wednesday instead of visiting Aunt Amy, we made a trip to A-W to eat lunch and celebrate Popi's Birthday. Thursday was Popi's real birthday and we celebrated after Isabella's game with dinner and a Bday cake! We are so blessed to have Popi - He is amazing!

Friday after school we headed to visit Aunt Amy. It was the first time in 5 weeks that she was able to go outside. She is able to go out for 30 minutes a day now in a wheelchair ride. She really needed it and I am so proud of her for keeping her spirits up. It is so cute to see the Twins growing. Since I am jokingly called the Historian of the family, I took a couple of photos.

Saturday was a great day on the field for the Calagna kids. Vincent received the game ball after his game because he was the "pitcher" and made all his throws to first base.

Isabella then went 2 for 2 (double and single) with 3 RBIs and the Divas won!! On Sunday she had another 2 great at-bats and walked both times. I am so proud of her for keeping her eye on the ball and swinging only at strikes. She was so funny because after Sunday's game she told me that there was a pitch that was way outside, she didn't swing at it, but the umpire called it a strike and it WAS NOT a strike. She truly is learning.

We also got pictures back this weekend. They both came out adorable! And I am the Mom sportin' the buttons on my camera bag - So proud of my two!

My Ball Players

Boy, my Vincent is a crack up playing Tball! His face in the top right says it all...

And my Isabella is developing a real love for this game. She got another hit and is really working hard, even outside of practice. I am very proud of her.

Sunday morning we celebrated our friend Teegan! He was the cutest ever Zoo-Keeper and we had a blast. Teren was of course as creative as ever!

Sacrament of Reconciliation

My baby made her First Sacrament of Reconciliation on Saturday morning. For those of you not Catholic, this was her very first Confession. They use to do it where Reconciliation and First Communion were together, but now they separate the two Sacraments. It turned out so nice. She got to share the day with her good friends, Nicollette, Lana and Morgan. Vincent's Baseball game was cancelled, so the Grandparents got to join in.

After Isabella did her Reconciliation with Father Mike, we went to station 1 where we washed her hands in Holy Water and prayed over her. Chris and I then washed each other's hands in Holy Water and prayed over each other. At Station 2, Isabella removed her name tag and placed it on the Reconciliation poster. She then received a lamb pin that says Jesus on it while I read a special prayer.

The final station was her "Love Letter" station. Chris, myself and her Godmother Aunt Amy all wrote her special notes telling her how special she is and how proud we are of her.

We had breakfast after at Guasti and it turned out to be a very blessed day!

Ball Game kinda Saturday!

Vincent had his first ball game this Saturday. He sure did provide some entertainment value! Oh that boy was diggin in the dirt and one time he was up to bat, hit the ball and then chased the ball instead of running to 1st. We were laughing so hard. But he was proud to be a "ball player"!

I rushed from dropping Bella off back to Vincent's game and then left Vincent's game early to go back to see the start of Bella's game. That was tiring! Unfortunately she struck out, but was in good spirits still.

And oh how I love my family and my new shirt!!!

CRAZY WEEK!

This has been a crazy week. With Isabella missing school Monday and Tuesday, it put us behind with classwork and homework. On Wednesday I sent her to school. Vincent and I picked up Grammy and we went to visit Aunt Amy. I brought her this adorable board to brighten up her room....She didn't want to be in my picture :)

That afternoon while I was there, Chris called me and was heading home. He asked me to call the doctor to see if they could fit him in. Our doctor can never fit anyone in. We got back home @ 2:00 and took Chris to Urgent Care. I had to go pick up Isabella and we ended up missing a Muffins for Mom read-a-thon activity because we needed to get back to the Urgent Care. Chris has Bronchitis and Pneumonia. He got a big shot in the booty and lots of medicine to take. That night I had to get Bella to some batting practice and one of the Dad's house (she was embarrassed to take instruction from this cute little boy) and then back to make my rounds for CCD carpool.

Yesterday after school we had to complete the stuffed animal project that was due today. Isabella had to make a Giraffe. She sewed and it turned out so cute!

Papa Joe came early and took Isabella to the field by 4:30 so I could take Vincent to practice, also at 4:30! We met back up for Isabella's game. Popi and Grammy joined to celebrate Papa Joe's birthday!!!

And I thought this was funny...the two Papa's helping Isabella with her multiplication school work!

Phew! I am very happy it is Friday! We have batting cage practice tonight, games tomorrow and Girl Scouts on Sunday. Maybe I can get some rest in there? Since Chris has been sick, I have also not been sleeping well. Prayers all around for our family! Happy Weekend everyone!
