Grandparent's Performance at Wickman

Wickman had a special 3rd grade performance just for Grandparents. It was a Rock N Roll theme and had some great songs. Us Parents got to preview the performance a few days before the actual one. Bella got to wear a Poodle skirt and do the twist. She was SO HAPPY! And we got this special picture of her and the Grandparents. I know she will treasure this always. She is a very very blessed little girl!

My Bella Rose aka Bella Ruth

It was a learning lesson last night. Mainly for me as a Mom. The game just wasn't going Bella's way. She missed a couple plays at First Base and struck out. I found myself being a backstage Mom - one who couldn't let go that her Daughter was not perfect because I didn't know what other parents or the coach would be saying. My Husband looked at me when we got home and said, "let it go!" he proceeded to tell Bella a story of when he missed a very important play his Senior year in HS. He encouraged her and told her it happens to everyone. She came over to me and said, "I'm sorry!" and started to tear up. I immediately started crying and told her I was so sorry for making her feel bad. I never want to be that Parent who makes their child loose the love of the game. Isabella has it in her heart right now. She loves softball. She loves to hit. She is so proud to play First Base instead of the outfield and be a very important part of the game. So I vow not to act like that anymore. Isabella needs to know that Mom is on her side no matter what she does.

So we will focus on the positive. She walked and scored a run and also made a play at first. Later last night I text this to Isabella. I honestly didn't know this was a Babe Ruth quote until I saw it last night. Boy does it fit perfectly with my little Bella Ruth. I never had the confidence that she has to play softball and I am so so proud of her! Ps... thank you AD for the text counseling! xo

Auntie Donna...

WE MISS YOU!!!! We had the privilege of having Aunt Donna visit for 3 weeks!! She helped me so much and the kids did fun projects - Night Time bags (where they have to fill and carry up anything left downstairs at bedtime) and Calm Down Jars. Look at all the stuff she chopped up for freezer dinners because she noticed my life was a little 'hectic' at this time. Love you AD! Can't wait for VBS in July!

BELLA RUTH!

Softball has officially begun!!!! We had opening day on Saturday morning. Isabella is on the Bruisers with Coach Gabe. She picked the nickname "Bella Ruth". Popi and Papa Joe started calling her this one of her first seasons when she called a homerun for Grammy's birthday (aka Babe Ruth). The nickname has stuck and it cracks me up every time I hear the coach call her that. Daddy also bought Isabella a surprise - her very own fancy DeMarini bat!!! And she is playing 1st Base. Mommy might go crazy this season with the stress, but we will be there cheering her on with every pitch. Lots of luck this season my girl!

Here is a special treat I for tonight's game. Yes, she asked for BBQ Seeds. LOL! I have a true ball player.

Valentine's Day!

We had a fabulous Valentine's day. I continued my tradition of 14 days of Valentine's. We also went to see the Lego Movie and to Color Me Mine among those 14 days!

I also helped at the Kid's parties both days. Vincent had a PJ day! He picked out Wrestling valentines and we copied Sissy's idea and taped suckers on with flame tape. Isabella had a blast making hers being she is my little crafty one!

Flower Time!

Two different occasions both relating to flowers! One evening last week, I took a flower workshop with Britt! We had a blast and created gorgeous arrangements. On Sunday I helped my friend Maria do a Wedding set up at the Muckenthaler. I must say we rocked it! I love doing that gazebo!!

Sunday - Family

On Sunday we went to Aunt Amy and Uncle Soner's house for a beautiful dinner celebrating Grammy and Popi. I took these pictures of Bella and her twin cousins. She just loves them so much and hopes that they look up to her as they grow bigger. Isn't that play area awesome!?

100 Days Smarter

I am so lucky to be able to help at Vincent's TK parties. This was their 100th day of school. They did some fun crafts like making hats with 10 papers with 10 patterns each & necklaces out of 100 fruit loops.

School Spirit

I know I am behind on posts. Life has been so hectic I haven't been taking many photos. The above were from the kid's school spirit days - twin day and 80's day. Gotta love it!
