Thanks Alice!

My wonderful Mother-in-law sent this to me a couple of weeks ago on a day when I really needed to read it. She said "thought of you, not just from your kids but from me". I shed a few tears that's for sure.

First Day of School - Vincent

I don't know how, but my little BABY boy started Preschool this morning. I think he was most excited about wearing his new shoes! 

 

Waiting in line, he found a boy with a Superman shirt and another boy with a football on his lunch-box. He kept asking "Where is my teacher?" Right when we got inside, he found a table to sit at and color, gave me a kiss and said, "Bye Mom!" I cried in the car after I dropped him off. I was thinking about how when I dropped Isabella off to Tiny Tots the first time, I had a little baby with me! 

 

I got over it and enjoyed my free 2 hours doing lots of uninterrupted errands! Vincent ended up having a wonderful day and told me about the fun he had with Ms. Jessica and Ms. Cindy. He was so tired after he got home that he laid on the couch with a pillow and blanket. Maybe he will start taking naps again....one can wish!

 

 

 

First Day of School - Isabella

Not sure how, but  my BABY is in 2nd grade. She was so excited to go to school that she woke up super early, dressed herself and brushed her hair. Her outfit has been picked out for a few days and she took a shower without a fight last night. We have a couple of friends in this class and looking forward to a WONDEFUL new school year with Mrs. Lyall.

 

The Night Before School

 

Last night Isabella picked Spaghetti for her Back 2 School dinner and set the table with my funky tea party plates! Vincent and Isabella each got a book and new cup for school. We ended the night with Strawberry Shortcake for desert and reading "The best seat in 2nd grade".

 

We love LA!

 

Last night our friends Joe and Leslie invited us to the Dodger game. We met up at BJs before for drinks and headed to the Stadium. It was an awesome game, with Adrian Gonzalez starting and the Dodgers winning 8-2. It was so much fun to watch my Brother flipping through his binder doing research and cheering on his "boys in blue". Keep it up LA!

Soccer has begun!

 

Last week started Soccer practice on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Isabella has several friends on her team this year! Their uniforms are yellow and they decided on the name Queen Bees! My girl is #9 and I am so looking forward to rooting her on starting Sept 15th.

Viva Las Vegas!

I am a little bit behind on blogging. Last weekend we spent a little family time together and went to Vegas. Last minute of course. We left on Thursday after Chris got home for the afternoon.

We went swimming...



Ate ridiculously large amounts of food at our favorite Hash House. Isabella carried her doll around with her everywhere....

Went bowling... 

Went shopping and to the "Castle" (Excalibur) arcade to finish the trip up...

 

And just had a super fun time together.

End of Swim!

Swim lessons have come to an end. Vincent was so proud to have "passed the level" and I know he will miss Ms. Kaylie!

Isabella will also miss Mr.Brandon and Mr. Tate (aka Mr. Potato Head and Mr. Cool). She had a great time with them these past two weeks, is more brave and swimming a whole lot better! 

After swim, we went to Popi's for more swimming. I loved their "triple jump"!!
