Easter 2014

Our Easter festivities were wonderful. We started out on Good Friday by bringing Easter Lilies to the Teachers. Only Vincent had a Spring party and I was able to help and did my fabulous coloring job.

Friday before dinner with Pop and Gram, we colored Easter Eggs. I let the kids do whatever they wanted after realizing I have no control anymore. Vincent made Monster eggs and Isabella made rainbow eggs with glitter.

Saturday afternoon we made these adorable Bunny cupcakes in lieu of the traditional Bunny cake. I made this cute bunny with lopsided ears (oops).

The Easter Bunny of course visited the kids and both were very happy! Bet you didn't know there was a Sandlot #3 with Luke Perry or a Scooby Doo Wrestlemania!

Fabulous family time at Gram and Pops!

And our Easter Egg Hunt. The babies had eggs out there but only Aunt Amy hunted for them. It was a blessed day for sure!

Working Hard

I want to give a little shout out to my Bella Ruth... ummm, I mean Bella Rose. She has been working so hard lately on her schoolwork and on the softball field. She loves softball to no end, but knows that she needs to have good grades in order to play. 3rd grade has been difficult and what makes it more difficult is being gone Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. However, she is pulling those math and social studies grades up and proving to Mom and Dad that she can do both. We are very proud of her!

Spring Break 2014

We had such a fabulously fun time on our Spring Break trip to Mammoth. This year we picked Mammoth over Lake Tahoe because of the shorter drive (having to be back for Softball on Saturday and Sunday) and a change of scenery. Our little girl was not too thrilled about the change of plans, but she had such a blast and I know would go back in a heartbeat. She needs to learn to trust Mommy and Daddy more!

It snowed almost the whole time we were there and so I consider that AMAZING weather! We went tubing and the kids took ski lessons! Isabella caught on so quick and absolutely loved it. Vincent loved it as well, but his favorite part were the "wipe-outs". I told Chris I would actually like to take some lessons next time because he loves to ski and now it looks like the kids as well. Believe me, I was fine with my free quiet time, but it would be nice to go out together.

Of course, no trip would be complete without a snowball fight!! Hoping one day we will own a nice little vacation place in Mammoth (or Tahoe) that we can venture to whenever we feel the need. This is what life is all about after all - making wonderful memories.
