Bella, Bella...How Does Your Garden Grow?

Chris and I decided we want to fix up the backyard planters and garden! Perfect timing because Isabella got all the necessary gardening gear from Grammy & Papa for Easter. She looked so adorable in her hat, gloves, and clogs that I couldn't resist taking some pictures. She loved planting and even "caught" two Rolly Polly's to put in her bug house!

We started off at Home Depot and here she is sll set
and ready to go out the door!

Walking to find a good gardening spot!

She kept looking through her mirror
saying, "this looks wonderful!"

"Has to go like this...pat, pat!"

This is FUN Mom!

See you tomorrow for round 2!

New Friends!

Today we had a blind play date set up by our friend Amanda! We met Meagan and her two girls, Madeline and Caitlin! They are all so sweet and we love them :) The Kenney Family live less than three miles away and it puts my mind at ease having a friend so close! The girls got along great and we are looking forward to next Wednesdays park day!

Isabella and Madeline waiting to walk to the park. Look at the bows! (LOVE THEM!)

Holding hands and walkin' to the park!

Isabella digging in the sand!

After a long nap...I loaded up Isabella and we went to Rebecca's house to drop off invitations for the kids birthday party! Isabella got to see the beautiful horses, llama and donkey at the Titone house. Thanks Auntie Rebecca :)! We are going to come back and play soon!

A Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter! Isabella didn't want to go down the hall in the morning for fear the Easter Bunny might still be there...but once she knew he wasn't it was ok! She was excited to know the Easter Bunny brought Daddy a basket too and probably liked his basket more since it had mostly candy in it! She got Enchanted (which she said, "I not like this movie" - she has never seen it! She has since watched it and liked it of course), books, a new little outfit, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse panties, and candy. Then we went to Grammy & Papa's house where all the family gathers. She had a wonderful time on the Easter Egg hunt this year with her cousins and even got to go swimming! She got so much stuff you would have thought it was her birthday. Bee Movie and Gardening equipment and shoes a basket with 101 Dalmations, bunny, top and candy, a Princess purse filled with goodies, and Polly Pockets. Needlesss to say she is one happy girl :) She can not stop playing with the two full baskets of stuff she got from the egg hunt. Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!!

MS Walk - Saturday April 12th

Hi Everyone! Below is my donation/participation letter for the MS Walk this year. If you would like to walk or donate, please visit the link below!

To My Family & Friends:

The MS Walk has snuck up on us this year, leaving only 3 weeks to rally for team members and donations! For the sixth year, our family looks forward to joining the thousands of people ‘Walking For A Cure’ for Multiple Sclerosis at the Orange County MS Walk. This 5-10K walk, held at UC Irvine on April 12, will raise money for much needed research on MS, a disease that has affected nearly 2.5 million people worldwide. As you know, my mother and sister are two of the over 3,000 people living with MS in Orange County. THIS IS WHY WE WALK! Unfortunately this summer my sister had a severe MS attack. While she is doing better now, she still needs our support and prayers. It also gives us an even stronger reason to raise money and walk for a cure!

Every hour someone new is diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Every morning, more than 400,000 Americans wake up with the unpredictability of MS: reduced vision, lost muscle control, numbness or tingling, even immobility. The variability of symptoms is vast and brings uncertainty to those living with the disease and their future. Together, we can turn the uncertainty into HOPE and bring the future world without MS into focus. Participating in the MS Walk is our way of contributing to that HOPE!

Thank you again to those of you that walked or donated to our cause last year. Last year we had a small group of only 11 walkers, yet we still managed to raise $2,800! This year we will boost our goal to 20 team members and $3,500. Please help us achieve this goal by joining us on the walk and registering at http://www.mswalk.com/ under Hansen’s Hopefuls. If you are not able to walk, but would rather make a small donation toward MS research, please return the form attached to this letter. Every dollar generously donated to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society brings us one step closer to the mission – ending the devastating effects of MS. Your donation will not only help fund MS research, it will help those who are struggling with this chronic disease today. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the law. The National MS Society, Orange County Chapter is a registered 501 (c) 3 organization. The Federal tax id # is 95-2633200.
Thank you in advance for your quick response, participation and generosity. Your continued support and prayers let us know we are not alone in this fight!

With my love and gratitude,

Rebecca Calagna

Irvine Park - Take 2!

Today we went to breakfast with the Grandparents and Uncle Nick. We then took Isabella to the Easter Eggstravaganza at Irvine Park and met up with Sara and Baby Emma. While there were WAY too many kids to do the Easter Egg hunt, Bella Rose got to ride the horsey and train again! She loves it so much...there will for sure be a party there in her future!

Isabella met Teegan!

On a lighter note...Yesterday Isabella got to meet baby Teegan. She told Grammy and Daddy that she met Baby Jaxson, but when I corrected her, she remembered it was Teegan :) We can't wait to go and play with the boys some more!

The American Dream? Or Being a SNOB?

Since high school I have had to deal with the uttering of this word, "snob", by those who did not know me. And as it appears, even though I am 10 years out of high school, the word still haunts me! In high school it was because my brother played professional baseball and we lived in a big house on the hill. And now I am called a snob because I live in a nice house, my husband is successful, I have a Master's Degree and run my own companies. But, I ask you? Why should my Dad feel bad for working HARD his whole life to be successful and provide for his family? Why should Chris and I feel bad for working hard and driving toward a successful future for our family? People strive, but for what? The American Dream or to be called Snobby? I did a little research... The definition of a SNOB is as follows: 1. a person who imitates, cultivates, or slavishly admires social superiors and is condescending or overbearing to others. 2. a person who believes himself or herself an expert or connoisseur in a given field and is condescending toward or disdainful of those who hold other opinions or have different tastes regarding this field: a musical snob. 3. one who tends to patronize, rebuff, or ignore people regarded as social inferiors and imitate, admire, or seek association with people regarded as social superiors. 4. one who affects an offensive air of self-satisfied superiority in matters of taste or intellect. 5. a person who admires people of high rank or social class, and despises those in a lower class etc than himself.
Again...I ask you in all honesty...Do those words I highlighted describe ME? Am I ever condescending or overbearing to others? Do I tend to patronize or ignore people who are inferior? Do I even think anyone is inferior to me? Oh Lord, it is SO FRUSTRATING to say the least. My parents taught me at an early age that it doesn't matter what people have or don't have, be nice to everyone and people will like you for who you are in return. I pride myself on being nice to anyone who is working that I come in contact with. I pride myself on saying hi to strangers that I pass when I am on a walk. I treat people who are helping me with the events I produce as equals. Everyone works hard in this world and I know that! I was always so relieved when people in High School would say, 'Wow, I thought you were a snob but then when I met you I realized that you were nice.'
So friends...I know there are so many worse things you can be than a snob, like someone who tells lies, but to me this is just as offensive, since I have spent my life just trying to be "me" and be a nice person.

Teegan Lee Coulter

My bestest friend brought a beautiful baby into this world yesterday. Her second son! Teegan Lee Coulter...such a precious boy! Awesome job Teren...I am so proud of you!

Brusha, Brusha, Brusha...

The other day Isabella picked out a new Barbie toothbrush and
Barbie bubble gum toothpaste! Here are a few cute pictures of her
brushin away. I always end up singing, "brusha brusha brusha..."
from Grease (the movie)!

Bridal Trunk-Show

Below are photos from the Bridal trunk show held at beautiful Meleesa The Salon in Huntington Beach. I thought the show turned out very well. I made some great Vendor connections that will hopefully pan out as well as, a few invitation leads. I thought my booth set up turned out great again and I loved having a separate space for all of my invitations. Jenny B did a wonderful job on my florals (Thanks Jen!) and Caitlin, my new Sales Coordinator, worked hard as usual! Thanks Sara for trying to stop by... Much love to all!

Irvine Park

Yesterday was such a GOOD DAY! We went to Irvine Park with Grammy and Papa where Bella got to ride the Ponys (Pokey and Dan) and the train, see the animals at the Zoo and play on the swings at the Playground! Oh, she also got 4 new movies (Ratatouille and Madagascar from Mommy and Barbie Mariposa and Fairitopia from Grammy) and 2 new puzzles (from Papa). What a LUCKY girl! This morning she already said "Please...I go ride Pony!"

Here are our photos!
