Have to Share!

I am super jazzed about my cute new wallet/wristley I purchased yesterday! I have been looking for a smaller wallet for a while now and this was just perfect. It is by Vera Bradley. It holds my liscense and health card on one side (please, I did weigh 130 when I got married and changed my name over, but I haven't seen that since!!). It holds my cell phone in the back pocket. On this inside it holds the only cards I will be using (my two ATMs and my gas card)...I'm trying to be good; no store cards for me! Anyway...LOVE IT!

Good Friday

Heavy heart this Good Friday morning. Remember the sacrafice that Jesus made for us all...no gift could ever been more precious.  Every blessing in my life is from Him.   Think of Him today and thank Him for loving us enough to die a horrible death on that cross!
Please, if you have a chance, pick up this book I just read! The story is of a 4 year old boy who made a trip to Heaven and back. The words inside and the pictures that are painted provide so much comfort. To know that I will one day meet my unborn baby is just amazing... I was bawling as I read it and tears filled my eyes as I shared that with my husband. I bought a copy for both sets of parents for Easter. Read it... :)

BUSY, BUSY!

I think I can now finally breathe! It was one busy few days.

Wednesday I helped in the Kindergarten, followed by a softball game (with Miss Isabella getting 2 hits and making a great play at 3rd base) followed by family dinner (thanks to Grammy Alice and Papa Joe for watching Bub!!)

Friday was Isabella's first fieldtrip! We had a blast at Santa Ana Zoo. Followed by our Friday night dinner with Grammy and Popi (Thanks to my Mom for watching Bub)!

Also on Friday, Vincent was lucky enough to take a fieldtrip of his own with Popi! They visited the Fire Station and this is Fireman John! I guess Vincent was talking a mile a minute and was oh so thrilled with the whole thing. Of course, the one day he did not wear his Fire boots! Come to find out, Fireman John knows my Brother as he lives in San Clemente and his son took part in my Brother's hitting camp.

Saturday morning we had another Softball game with Miss Isabella getting two hits off live pitch! The sun really wore those girls out. Followed by family breakfast!

That evening I was lucky enough to see these beautiful ladies and celebrate Bianca and Teren's birthdays! We had a great time together...ate, walked around the shoppes and then got another drink!

On Sunday we had a very special morning where we got to attend the CSUF Softball game and the Sweet Stuff girls were announced on the field. It was adorable to see these girls in awe of the college girls...Plus we got to show Isabella where Mommy and Daddy met :)

We left the game early and headed to Gi-Gi's 4th birthday party! Thank you Rebecca for a great time! It was wonderful to visit with Daisie as well whom I haven't seen in a long time!

And finally yesterday was my day to help in the classroom and decorate Mrs. Bain's door for Teacher Appreciation (thank you Grammy Alice and Papa Joe again for watching Bub!). We followed that with another softball game (which was also our snack day....water, pudding, fruit snacks and of course, pixy stix!) and family dinner! Then I came home and finished up this gift card tree and book for Mrs. Bain! My theme was, "Thanks for helping us grow!"

THIS is why I say I think I can finally breathe and concentrate on cleaning, laundry, Easter baskets and packing for vacation!

Hope everyone has a great start to the week! xoxo

A little BRIGHT in here...

My kids were playing 'airplane' and vacation the other day ... Made me laugh!

CSUF Softball

On Sunday, the Sweet Stuff team will be announced on the field at the Cal State Fullerton ladies softball game. Our Coach Kristy (who use to be on the team) is putting together a Sweet Stuff gift basket for the locker room. This is our contribution to the basket...lots of Pixy Stix!

Spring Decor

I have had my Spring/Easter decor up for a while now. I couldn't wait to put it out...You know I like to decorate my kitchen area and the kids area ...I call it "food for my soul". My favorite are my Easter coffee mugs! Makes me smile to drink coffee out of them in the morning! And some little boy likes to rearrange my eggs on the tree, so they are always in disarray :)

Legacy

Yesterday I took Isabella (and my Mom) to the Spring Shopping Bazar at the Alpha Chi, Epsilon Kappa house. It was a fundraiser to help raise money for the Courtney Stewart and Ashley Nelson-Knight Scholarship fund (Two young Alpha Chi women killed by drunk drivers).

It was so much fun to be at the Alpha Chi house. Felt just like home, even though I hadn't been there in TEN (yes, TEN) years! And it was awesome to show my very own little Legacy around. I showed her where Melanie and Teren use to live and she was so enthralled with all the 'big girl' rooms!

Maybe some day she will decide to join Alpha Chi Omega and she can share these pictures with her sorority sisters!

Had to take these...

Yesterday, Isabella was lucky enough to have a play date at her friend Kendal's house after school. While there they made these adorable bunny cupcakes. And she even made one for Brother. Thank you so much Stephanie for letting Isabella play!! She came home so happy and keeps asking when Kendal can come over to our house!! Oh, and she even wrote her homework story about playing Big Foot with Kendal and her big sister Maddie. So cute :)

Later last night before bed time, Isabella called me over to see how sweet she and Bubby were cuddling! I love these moments; they are so priceless to me and I hope my kids will continue to always protect and be there for each other.

Day # 30 - A Picture

I am sad that the blog challenge has come to an end. I am going to 'leave' you with this picture. It is our new sign we have hung in the living room. I ordered the vinyl wording and my Dad was kind enough to paint this plaque for me.

Here they are...The Calagna Family Rules
